Health officials in Prescott say the move is meant to keep pace with a fast-growing population and rising demand for local care.
"It's a big step forward for Prescott, and it wouldn't have happened without a lot of people pulling in the same direction," said Sarah Castillo, hospital administrator.
The expansion is expected to add roughly 40 new positions, including clinical and support staff, and comes as regional population growth pushes demand for care to record levels.

Patients are encouraged to check with their provider directly for scheduling as the new services come online.
